Beginner's Guide to Bouquets.

Alright, I have a lot to catch up on, but for now I'm going to go through how I made my formals bouquet. Honestly, I dont really have much credibility, but with the help of a sisters and youtube, here's how I did it:

Step 1: buy the goods. This was so fun, I LOVE flowers and getting to be around a billion flowers is just heavenly. Keep them cold and in water.

Step 2: I put out a couple of towels, laid the flowers, pulled off all of the leaves on the stems, cut them to the correct lengths, and turned on a documentary about drugs in America. (i have a weird thing for documentaries)

Step 4: I started with the largest flowers in the middle and worked my way out, trying to make the stems sort of wrap around themselves. Then I just tried to do what I thought looked okay.
Step 5: This part was quite tricky.  The green floral tape. Since I'm such a newb, I did a few different layers of this (I'm sure there's an easier way out there). So, because my bouquet ended up being quite massive, I did a middle layer of tape then added flowers, then a second layer of the tape, and finally a third layer, making sure everything was tight and secure.

Step 6: Adding the ribbon. So I used 2 types of ribbon, the first was just plain cream so the second would not show the stems through. After just pinning the first and last piece of plain cream, I wrapped the perforated ribbon and secured it with the pins.  The pins down the whole side are kind of just for looks. Kind of.

Step 7: The final product! So after making sure the ribbon was secured, I (tried) cut the stems to be exactly the same length to make it look finished.  The process was a lot of work, but not super difficult. It was such a fun project, I hope I get to do it again soon! I mean, I will find a reason i need to if not.

(blurry, I know. sorry)
